Product designer at Pillar (Y Combinator)
I created tools and workflows that supported agencies in managing creators at scale.
Problem
Pillar focused on the single content creator. But when every creator is a separate account, roster management, performance checks and link-in-bio updates multiply fast.
Content creator #1
Content creator #2
Content creator #3
Agents have to manually log into each account and can't see all at once
Opportunity
Building around talent agency workflows would be the foundation to a B2B expansion for a new, stable revenue stream.
Key Insight
Conversations with talent agencies revealed that agents start at the high level, comparing their assigned creators before zooming into individual creator details.
Actionability
With many creators and metrics to monitor, agencies needed to quickly understand who required attention, why and what to do next.
Access
Managers needed to move between analytics and creator accounts without losing context or operational momentum.
Challenge
To increase value across individual accounts, I expanded monetization systems and made high-performing link-in-bios faster and easier to create through parallel product initiatives.
Monetization
Created more monetized link-in-bio block types
Auto-theme
Increased visual quality of default link-in-bio design
Conversion
Redesigned link-in-bio checkouts to increase sales
Implementation
I introduced clearer handoff structures, documentation and Figma systems to reduce collaboration gaps I noticed across the distributed team.
Impact
With this new workflow, Pillar onboarded 5 talent agencies managing hundreds of creators. Agency partnerships (B2B) are now the company's primary growth factor.
What I learned:
Scale exposes product weaknesses and forces you to focus on what actually matters.
